Minor updates of Apple systems

Yesterday evening a whole series of minor updates of Apple systems were released, which are currently in use. Some of them apply only to selected models. Apple remembers users of older devices that are no longer supported by the latest systems.

iOS 12.4.2

This update is for devices that have not received iOS 13.1 and iPadOS 13.1, but can work with iOS 12. These are: iPad Air 1, iPad mini 2, iPad mini 3, iPhone 5s, iPhone 6 and 6 Plus and iPod touch generation six.

According to the document: About the security content of iOS 12.4.2, the update patches a rather serious error allowing the attacker to remotely terminate the application and even to execute unauthorized code.

The update can be found wherever it is, i.e. in Settings> General> Updates. It must be done.

macOS 10.14.6 Supplemental Update 2

This is an update to the macOS system that is still valid. At 10.15 Catalina we are still waiting and I doubt that it will be ready on October 4. With the update for 10.14.6, Apple has released patches for Sierra and High Sierra 2019-005.

Updates can be found in System Preferences> Updates. Make sure you do it.

watchOS 5.3.2

 This update is for Apple Watch s1 and s2, which are not yet watchOS 6 and will have to wait for version 6.1

Also patches security holes. You need to update iOS 12.4.1, iOS 12.4.2 or iOS 13, and you will perform the update in the Watch application (General> Updates).
